COPE (Cooperative Orthotic & Prosthetic Enterprise) is the leading source of artificial limbs, walking aids and wheelchairs in Laos. COPE is now a local non-profit organization, located in Vientiane (Laos), which works in partnership with the Medical Rehabilitation Center (CMR) and provincial rehabilitation centers to provide access to prosthetic devices and rehabilitation services, including physiotherapy, occupational therapy and pediatric services for people with disabilities. Its excellent Visitor Center offers many interesting multimedia exhibits informing about prostheses and UXO (unexploded ordnance) that make the use of these prostheses necessary. Numerous and powerful documentaries are shown in rotation in a comfortable theater, in the structure there is a gift shop and a cafe. 100% of the proceeds from these activities go to support COPE projects in Laos.
